Colter Bay in the Tetons

The Teton Range, the Grand Tetons in Wyoming have been around
for more than 11000 years. Wrap yourself around that! The Grand Teton
National Park was established in 1929...getting closer for me!
Next, we visit Colter Bay in the Tetons, very early in the morning
for a boat ride and uh, a great unique breakfast!

Taking pictures early in the morning proved to be the best time of day of the
Grand Tetons. When you go to Colter Bay, do the early AM tour with breakfast.

These pictures taken at
about 7 AM capture the Teton Range
beauty with a very simple camera at
Colter Bay

The Colter Bay area has great walking, hiking and of course boating. We
had Jackson Lake, the Tetons, and Signal Mountain area including the Lodge.
Judy is ready to launch the boat. It's about
7:15 AM, beautiful day and beautiful lady
bringing on the day.
Colter is best remembered for explorations he made during the winter of 1807–1808. He entered the Yellowstone area and defined Teton area. John Colter was a part of the
Lewis and Clark expedition.

It's 7:15 AM and these two great
ladies have sunshine in their eyes.
We launch at 8:00 AM
Underway! Heading to Elk Island
for Breakfast.

It worked because the breakfast
was outstanding. Thanks Betty
Our Chefs are pro's. They are personable
friendly and eat their own food!
Breakfast with the Tetons in front
of us. This was a magnificent morning

Happy Meal? I see baked
trout on Steve's plate
Coffee in one hand
and uh, relief station in background
Life is good

Judy and I really enjoyed this
time on Elk Island. We look and
were very happy to experience this
great trip.
