Gibbon Falls An Elk Family and Eagle Watching

Gibbon Falls is betwen Norris and Madison
Judy standing at lookout to
Gibbon Falls which flows 84 feet
down the Gibbon River. It's 6 PM
and we are heading back to West Yellowstone
after a great day in the Park.

Gibbon Falls is at an elevation
over 7000 feet.
As we head back from a tour day we
view a elk family feeding along
the riverbank.

It is 6:30 PM and the family is
busy at dusk.

We see 1 bull, 2 cows
and 3 calves in this pix. Looks
like 2 calves are resting.

The eagle pictures above are in
a sequence taken with a regular
Canon camera thru a tripod telescope
that was provided by the tour driver.
It was spotted by the tour driver and is
about 1/2 mile away.
