Most of these pictures are from the Painted Canyon Visitor Center
just east of Medora ND directly from Interstate 94.
Many of these pictures portray
a maze of buttes and canyons.
It is extremely vast.
Teddy Roosevelt arrived in the Dakota Territories in 1883 prior to the death of his first wife and his mother in 1884. He was 24 years of age. The Dakotas, namely North Dakota made an impact on Teddy and his life for years to come ultimately as President of the U.S. at an early age of 42.
