Arches National Park - Moab Utah

We entered the Arches National Park about 10 AM
on June 13, 2014. This is a view on that morning as we ascend
the Arches looking down on the traffic entering the park just
behind us. We had no waiting line entering about
a half hour earlier.

There are over 2000 arches in the park. Many can be seen
from driving but many require hiking. What is an arch?

The arch is visible from the roadway

The Balanced rock  here is
the same as the one above
just from a different side.

A recent park visitor was unsure
about the balanced rock and thought the park
had cemented it, so he ventured up to where the
connection appears and then couldn't get down.
He called the park from his cell phone and
when they arrive to help him down he told
them it wasn't cement.

An arch in the distance and
I don't know the name of it.
